Large offshore substructures are no issue for our facilities which can accommodate large heavy lift vessels such as the latest heavy-lift monuhull and jack up class of vessels. We are proud to simultaneously operate multiple large scale projects from the Port. Recently we oversaw the preassembly and construction Port for East Anglia One Windfarm in tandem with decommissioning projects.

Our port facilities and close proximity to the southern North Sea make The Port of East Anglia the ideal location for offshore energy developments and maintenance vessels to base and operate themselves from. As the UK’s most eastern deep water facility with heavy lift quays accommodating large offshore support vessel activity, The Port of East Anglia maintains water depths in the outer harbour of up to 10 metres at chart datum. We can also increase capacity for customers’ specific needs and operate a 24-hour pilotage service 365 days a year.
We know how valuable your time is, which is why we’ve taken steps to drastically reduce downtime for customers. We offer you a collaborative and efficient service for your vessels in order to minimise delays to operations. With no air draft or lock restrictions, your vessels can call into port and be turned around within 30 minutes for simple crew changes, reducing your downtime costs. That means less time in port and more time doing what you do best.

Location
At The Port of East Anglia we’re strategically placed to serve the offshore energy sector of the southern North Sea and the existing and planned offshore wind development off the UK’s east coast. For those who think we’re tucked away on the coast, we can reassure you that East Anglia (formerly Port of Great Yarmouth) benefits from good road connectivity, with the M25 being approximately two hours from the Port and the M1 and M6 achievable inside three hours.
East Anglia Marine Information
Our Marine Department provides essential Marine services and unique solutions to all shipping operators at the port. This ensures the smooth operation of your supply chain and avoids the potential for log jams. We offer everything from marine pilotage, pilot transfer services, hydrographic surveying to maintenance dredging, navigation aid provision and mooring services.
